Three P&O cruise ships, the ADONIA, AZURA and VENTURA, all based in Southampton, called in Lisbon on 28 April 2015, a very busy day with another six passenger ships in port, the CLUB MED 2, the CELEBRITY SILHOETTE, the VOYAGER, and the three Portuscale fleet mates FUNCHAL, LISBOA and PORTO. The susters AZURA and VENTURA sailed in tandem at about 5H30 PM soon to be followed by ADONIA, the smaller and by far much more elegant of the trio. Of today's cruise shipping operators P&O is the oldest to visit Lisbon on a regular basis, as Peninsular ships were already part of Lisbon's waterfront busy scene by about 1835.
